Agenda for May 8

It looks like we’re a dozen: Adam, Scott, Hallie, Signa, Robin, Darlene, Sandra, James K, Stephanie, Catherine S, Catherine H, and me. Maybe more, who knows?

Another fifteen (Alexander, Gretchen, Graham, Annette, Cindy, Steve, Susan, Christy , Christy, Ginger, Vito, Sam, Barbi, James, and Kylene) are likely readers other days and times.  It’s a start.

9:00 Early Birds

(See below).

David Mamet’s Duck Variations

Read by George Gray and David Watkins.

10:00 Sharp

1

The main topic for discussion is scheduling. Options range from a regular time and place (first Sunday afternoon a month, every Tuesday evening) to a different time and place for every read.

If nothing else, we’ll set a tentative time and place for a Sunday (or evening) read in June, and go from there, once a month until we grow.

2

General discussion: Questions, answers, and suggestions regarding play selection, scripts, communication, administration, purpose, procedure and protocol.

11:00 (or sooner)

COLD READINGS of monologues from Spoon River Anthology.

Early Birds

Traditionally, some readers shop up early for coffee and conversation.

This Thursday, however, because David’s leaving town and we’ve been studying Duck Variations for almost a year, we’re going to read it, starting at 9:00. Show up early for a treat.

Stay Tuned

I’ll be posting more about the program between now and Thursday.
